This acrylic-coated fabric placemat features the Pieni Kukasta Kukkaan pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. Thanks to the protective finish, the placemat is easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Erja Hirvi brought the joyfully blossoming Kukasta kukkaan print to life during a burst of creativity at her summer retreat, fully immersed in floral inspiration. The loosely conceived pattern emerged as she painted, capturing the myriad ways flowers appear in nature. The Finnish name of the design translates to “from flower to flower” – a nod to the playful flight of bumblebees among summer blooms.
