In collaboration with the Paris national Museum of natural History, Carrière Frères highlights plants that are unusual, exotic and packed with history. The partnership with the Museum's researchers and with Robertet Group perfumers in Grasse, has produced the original and innovative fragrances - a perennial water plant with a fruity fragrance and the geranium, a flowering plant with a fresh and flowery head note.
Native to South Africa, the fragrant geranium is distinguished from the common geranium by its strong perfume. Today, there are over 400 species of Pelargonium in the world, each has its own texture, colour and fragrance. Although Pelargonium are flowering plants, it is their leaves that reveal a variety of fragrances ranging from floral to spicy and aromatic.
The scented candle is to its image: a fresh head note filled with grapefruit and hemp flowers; the head note that encapsulates the geranium’s beauty; and a base note featuring patchouli.
Each candle is made according to ancient expertise and handcrafted in the workshop in Normandy; the candles’ perfume comes from a blend of natural raw and synthetic materials. Since 2022, each of our candles and botanical palets are formulated with 100% vegetable wax, from European organic rapeseed.
